How to measure and find your Spa Filter
The quickest way to identify your Filter
We can always find the correct filter for your spa from the wide range of filters that we keep in stock. One of the quickest ways to identify your filter is for you to send us the measurements. However, it is not as straight forward as it might first appear. I have therefore made this guide to show which measurements are needed.
Please bear in mind that all filter manufacturers produce a range of filters at slightly different sizes. So a few millimetres difference in size is to be expected. The more important item is the size and style of the connection.
How to Measure your Filter
Measure your filter length
Using a metric tape, measure the distance between the end caps, if your filter has a handle and screw, ignore these.
Measure your filter diameter
Using a metric tape, measure the distance across the end cap as best you can.
What style is the top and bottom of your filter?
There are a large number of different styles of the end caps of spa filters.
If it has a hole, measure the diameter. If it has a screw, measure the diameter and note whether it is a fine or coarse thread. There are many other styles for individual spa brands which are quite easy to find in the section ‘Find your filter by size’.
How do you measure the hole or screw?
The measurement of the hole or screw is the internal measurement.
Find your Filter
On the Spa-Es website www.spa-es.es Go to the section 'Filters' and then ‘By Size’
Select the length category for your filter and scroll down to find the filter that is approximately correct.
It is important to check the end cap styles and diameter in the specification of each filter to be sure you have chosen the correct replacement filter.
If in doubt, send me the measurements - info@spa-es.es and I will be happy to advise you which is the appropriate filter.
